On Tuesday, 16 December 2025, Denmark formally handed over the Presidency of the Council Working Party on Statistics to Cyprus during a meeting held in Copenhagen. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Trio Presidency partners (Poland - Denmark - Cyprus) as well as the European Commission (Eurostat).

The outgoing and incoming Presidencies reviewed in detail the progress of the legislative dossiers and exchanged views and experiences on key issues of relevance to the Working Party.

Sincere appreciation is extended to Statistics Denmark for organising the meeting and for their continued efforts in ensuring a smooth and successful transition of the Presidency.

The Cyprus Presidency team stands ready to lead the forthcoming term and is committed to fostering effective cooperation and supporting further developments in European official statistics.
